Deep thoughts while in the Shower

Everyone does it. You're in the shower, it's all quiet in the house (which means either the kids are sleeping or you're washing the blood off your body after you ripped out their vocal could go either way depending on the day) and your mind starts wandering. You never really know where the thoughts come from, but sometimes a real gem pops in your head and suddenly you realize: I have to share this, it'd be wrong to keep it all to myself.

THIS is that gem:
May have just had the most random in the shower question come to me: how does a blind person know if they have skin cancer? It's not like they can see spots on their skin changing color or shape, right??

I sent it as a text to the Hubs, who replied: Maybe feel?
I sent the same text to my 2 best friends. F's reply was: Hahahahahaha!
While C replied: You're so strange. I guess they would only know if it was a raised mole or something.

2 out of the 3 people closest to me, totally missed the point of this!

But seriously, are seeing eye dogs trained to sniff out cancer? That might make sense right?

  1. Replies
    1. I'm sure they get checked out at least yearly. Afterall, it's probably fair to say they've had a sunburn or two throughout life.
I'm genuinely not trying to be a dick here, just one of those thoughts that hasn't been satisfied enough to vacate my head! lol

    2. Wait a sec, I've never had a sunburn, like EVER!!! :P

  2. Trained dogs like that sometimes can smell the chemical imbalances in your body. Eric worked with a dog once they were trying to help it tell his owner if she was about to have a seizure. But I'm not really sure what the dog would do about cancer.
